Innovation Award: Best Maker 2025
The story of showing AstroNav at Maker Days Eindhoven and receiving the Best Maker 2025 title.
On 27 and 28 September 2025, I brought AstroNav to Maker Days Eindhoven. Five days before the event, I heard that the project had been nominated for the Innovation Award: Best Maker.
On 27 September, I received the title Best Maker 2025. My family and I were incredibly excited. It was one of those moments when the work, failed tests and repeated rebuilds suddenly felt seen by other people.

The event gave me the chance to explain the rocket, flight controller and the story behind the project to other makers and visitors. The jury was positive about AstroNav, but also about the journey behind it. According to the legacy About page, that story helped the jury agree on the award.
Maker Days
Maker Days brought together technical projects and creative experiments from many different builders. Being able to display AstroNav among them—and talk directly with people who were curious about it—was already a highlight.
