Data I process

When you use the contact form, I process the information you enter: your name, email address and message. Do not share sensitive or confidential information unless it is necessary for your request.

Limited technical data may also be processed when you visit and use the website, such as your IP address, time of access, requested page, browser and device information, and error messages. This data may appear in the technical logs of the hosting and form providers.

Purposes and legal bases

I process data for the following purposes:

• answering contact requests, following up on your question and discussing a possible collaboration or appointment;
• taking steps at your request before a possible agreement is entered into;
• keeping the website available and secure, preventing misuse and resolving technical errors;
• complying with legal obligations where applicable.

Depending on the situation, the legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible agreement, my legitimate interest in answering questions and securing the website, or a legal obligation. Your data is not used for newsletters, advertising, profiling or other unsolicited commercial messages.

Contact form and Formspree

The contact form is processed by Formspree. When you submit the form, the entered information and necessary technical data are sent to me through Formspree. Formspree processes this data to handle and secure the form and to prevent misuse.

Formspree uses cloud infrastructure in the United States. Data may therefore be processed outside the European Economic Area. Formspree states that it uses Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers. Read more in Formspree's security and privacy information.

Website analytics

YoupSpace does not currently load an analytics service and therefore does not collect usage statistics through Umami. If website analytics are enabled in the future, this privacy statement will be updated before that processing begins.

Hosting and technology

This website is built with Astro and is served primarily as a static website. Astro itself does not process personal data. The hosting provider may process necessary server data, including IP address, time of access, requested page, browser information and error messages, to keep the website available and secure.

Cookies and local storage

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. A selected language can be stored in your browser under youpspace-locale-v1 so the website remembers your preference on a future visit.

If you have not selected a language, your browser locally checks the available browser languages and time zone to suggest an initial language. YoupSpace does not store this information for that purpose or send it to me.

Retention periods

I retain a contact request until your question has been answered and any necessary follow-up has been completed. If a collaboration begins, relevant data may be retained for longer for agreements, administration and legal obligations.

Technical logs are retained by the relevant service providers only according to the periods needed for security, administration and abuse prevention.

Sharing with others

I do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising. Data may be processed by service providers needed for the website and communication, such as the hosting provider, Formspree and the email provider. They may process the data only for the service they provide or where required by law.

External links on YoupSpace lead to services including social media, online shops and project platforms. Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of that external service applies.

Security

I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to reduce the risk of loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The website uses HTTPS, among other measures. No method of transmission or storage is entirely risk-free, so only submit information needed for your request.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data. You can also request restriction or portability of processing and object where processing is based on a legitimate interest. If any processing were based on consent, you could withdraw that consent at any time without making earlier processing unlawful.

Send your request to [email protected]. To avoid disclosing data to the wrong person, I may request information that reasonably confirms your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Changes

This statement may be amended when the website, services used or legal requirements change. The current version will always be available on this page.
